Its very strong blade (2.5 mm thick) is serrated over 3.5 cm to cut natural or synthetic ropes and has a shackle key for 4 to 10 mm shackles. Its handle is water-resistant and withstands extreme temperatures. It is equipped with a whistle.

• Safety ring: Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding.
